(Bhrigu sutra, Chapter 3, Verses 1-9)
  1. देहं व्रणं भवति ।। 1।।
  2. दृढ़गात्रः चौरबुभूषकः बृहन्नाभिःरक्तपाणिः शूरो बलवान् मूर्खः। कोपवान् सभानशौर्य
  3. धनवान् चापलवान् चित्ररोगी क्रोधी दुर्जनः ।।2।।
  4. स्वोच्चे स्वक्षेत्रे आरोग्यम् दृढ़गात्रवान् राजसन्मानकीर्तिः।।3।।
  5. दीर्घायुः ।।14।। पापशत्रुयुते अल्पायुः ।।5।।स्वल्पपुत्रवान् वातशूलादिरोगः दुर्मुखः।।6।।
  6. स्वोच्चे लग्नक्ष धनवान् ।।7।। विद्यावान् नेत्रविलासवान् ।।8।।
  7. तत्र पापयुते पापक्षेत्रे पापदृष्टियुते नेत्रः रोगः।।9।।(भृगुसूत्र, अध्याय 3, श्लोक 1-9)
  8. जन्म लग्न में मंगल हो तो जातक शरीर में घाव वाला होता है।
  9. मजबूत शरीर वाला, चोर, अच्छे होने की इच्छा वाला, बड़ी नाभि (डूठा) वाला, लाल हाच, तेजस्वी,बली, मूर्ख, क्रोध वाला, सभी में निर्बली हो, धनवान् तथा चंचलता वाला, नाना प्रकार के चित्र-विचित्र रोग वाला, क्रोधी और दुष्ट होता है।
  10. मंगल उच्च राशि (मकर) का हो तथा अपने स्थान (मेष, वृश्चिक) में हो तो शरीर आरोग्य हो, पुष्ट शरीर वाला, राज्य में सत्कार पाने वाला और यश प्राप्त करने वाला तथा दीर्घायु होता है।
  11. मंगल के साथ पाप तथा शत्रु ग्रह बैठे हों तो जातक अल्पायु होता है। थोड़े पुत्रवाला तथा वातशूलादि रोग वाला तथा खराब मुख वाला होता है।
  12. यदि मंगल उच्च राशि (मकर) का हो तो धनाढ्य हो, विद्या बाला और नेत्र का पूर्ण सुख बाला होता है।
  13. मंगल के साथ यदि पापग्रह बैठे हों, पापग्रह के घर में हो अथवा पापग्रह देखते हों तो जातक नेत्र में रोग वाला होता है।
  1. If Mars is in birth lagna, then the native has wounds on the body.
  2. Strong body, thief, one who wishes to be good, big navel (dutha), red in complexion, radiant, strong, fool, short-tempered, weak in all respects, rich and fickle, has various kinds of diseases, angry and wicked.
  3. If Mars is in exalted sign (Capricorn) and in its own place (Aries, Scorpio) then the native is healthy, has strong body, gets respect in the state and gets fame and has long life.
  4. If sinful and enemy planets are sitting with Mars then the native has short life. He has few sons and has diseases like flatulence and bad face.
  5. If Mars is in exalted sign (Capricorn) then the native is wealthy, has knowledge and complete happiness of eyes.
  6. If sinful planets are sitting with Mars, is in the house of sinful planets or sinful planets are looking at it then the native has eye disease.
